After no elimination in last Friday episode, popular show Nepal Idol has once again landed in controversy. Audiences have criticized the organizers in social media for disrespecting 37,20,218 public votes and focusing on making money.
In last episode based on public voting one of the top four finalists getting low vote was supposed to be eliminated. But judges using their veto power had cancelled the elimination and had secured all the contestants till next episode. The program host then had informed that 37,20,218 public votes too will be counted to decide who will be eliminated in next episode.

Amid bitter criticism of organizers in social media, Laxman Poudel, the director of Nepal Idol showing concern on this matter has expressed his view in social media. Laxman has written that to vote or not to vote to their favorite contestant is solely choice of audiences. As last episode vote too will be counted, not a single vote will be wasted. He has also questioned that why such a negative reaction for keeping contestants one more week in Nepal Idol.
